2006 was not as good a year as 2005; in terms of page count, it was successful. Looking at what I actually did, though, it was pretty much a failure. I officially learned my lesson about drawing a series - not that I won't attempt another soon, just that I'll tackle it differently. My work did improve though, and I still find a lot of the art to hold up a year later. I also feel like I've finally developed a style.

Room & Board #1
February 2006 | 25 pages | Read It Now
Having learned nothing from doing Domestic & Wild, I did a rewrite - which, alas, invalidated all of Volume Zero. The writing is still not good, just less bad. The art is better, though.

Room & Board #2
April 2006 | 25 pages | Read It Now
I think I started reading Yayoi Ogawa's Tramps Like Us around this time, because the panels and tones resemble "josei manga" more. My style almost entirely solidified by the end of the chapter, although there's still quite a bit to be desired in the technical skills department.

Room & Board #3
May 2006 | 9 pages | Read It Now
Nine pages into this chapter, I did, yes, another rewrite. Obviously, it's not complete, but I decided to include it here, anyway.

Room & Board - Volume 1
October 2006 | 34 pages | Read It Now
I restarted the webcomic yet again (and for the last time) on August 1st, with plans for there to be five books total, the first of which would be 128 pages. The first chapter was 36 pages, but I only made it to 34 before my junior year ate me alive. Following my three strikes rule, I let Room & Board die, especially after not updating for an entire year - unfortunate, since I had the series thoroughly planned out and probably would have gotten it done. I'm glad to say that most of the pages still hold up a year later, which is an improvement over my previous work.
Update I wrote a short story, "Zero Degrees," about Teagan and Cassidy, taking place about a year after the planned end of the story.
